Scarlett Johansson was born on 22nd November 1984 in New York to an American mother and Danish born father. She is actually a twin being born 3 minutes before her twin brother Hunter Johansson

 She made her professional acting debut in an off-Broadway theatre production of ‘Sophistry’ at New York’s Playwright Horizons alongside another famous actor Ethan Hawke. She only had 2 lines in the play

Black Widow and Deadpool? She was married to the Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds from 2008 until they divorced in 2011;

She became an Oxfam ambassador in 2005 and in 2008 a UK based bidder paid £20,000 for a pair of tickets to accompany her on a 20 minute date to the world premiere of her film He’s Just Not That Into You;   

Although commonly referred to as ‘ScarJo’ by the media she has gone on record as saying she dislikes being referred to as such labelling it “tacky, lazy, flippant and insulting”

She is the highest grossing actress of all time and sixth highest grossing when combining both actors and actresses

 She has twice been nominated for an Academy Award, both nominations coming in the same year: Best Actress for her performance in Marriage Story and Best Supporting Actress for her performance in JoJo Rabbit

She campaigned for Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry in 2004 and also for President Barack Obama in 2008

She was actually the second choice for the biggest role of her career with Emily Blunt initially cast as Black Widow. Blunt had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict and the rest is history.
