The Conjuring: Last Rites Preview

In The Conjuring: Last Rites, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as the paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. And they’re out to save another family from the spirits in their home. What always made these Conjuring movies extra scary was the fact that they are apparently based on real-life stories from the couple.

This is allegedly the last movie in this long-running franchise, as it was the case that made the couple quit their investigations, so expect this one to be extra terrifying 😱

One Battle After Another Preview

It feels like Leonardo DiCaprio has been away for quite a while, but he is back this month with an action thriller that looks really good, not that we’d expect anything less from Leo. In One Battle After Another, he plays an ex-revolutionary who must reunite the team when his daughter is kidnapped by one of their old enemies.

This has a stellar cast including Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, Sean Penn and rising star Chase Infiniti. This looks like a very welcome return for Leonardo DiCaprio

Highest 2 Lowest Preview

Few actor/director teams have as much love and respect for each other as Spike Lee and Denzel Washington. Despite both working extensively with other directors and actors, they always seem to keep a space for each other every couple of years throughout their careers. And it’s that time again as Denzel Washington returns for his 5th ‘Spike Lee Joint’ called Highest 2 Lowest.

He plays a record producer who has worked his way up to the top to find success, only to have his son kidnapped and held for ransom. This is a reinterpretation of the 1963 Japanese film ‘High and Low’ by Akira Kurosawa, and while it will follow the same themes, I’m pretty sure there will be some additional Spike Lee twist, turns to make it his own and keep us on the edge of our seats.
