Trap Trailer- There’s No Way Out this Summer

M. Night Shyamalan’s latest ‘Trap’ puts the Twist up front, but will there be other surprises Trailer

The one-time lord of the ‘movie twist’ M. Night Shyamalan returns with ‘TRAP’, a creepy thriller starring a very sinister-looking Josh Hartnett. M. Night Shyamalan’s last few movies have been hit-and-miss. While I enjoyed his last film, ‘The Cabin’ it felt like it was still missing that special something. And watching this trailer, I feel like this might be a solid return to form.

It’s not a spoiler to say Josh Harnett is playing the bad guy in the movie as the trailer makes it pretty clear. Josh Harnett plays a doting dad who takes his teenage daughter to a concert for pop sensation Lady Raven (played by M.Night Shyamalan’s daughter Saleka Shyamalan). While there, he discovers the concert is a police sting operation to capture a serial killer known as ‘The Butcher’. The trailer appears to reveal that Josh Harnett’s character is the butcher and the challenge becomes how he escapes this trap.

I’m still hopeful there will be more shocks, surprises and even a twist once this is released in August. But even without a twist, this still looks like an intriguing idea, very different from previous M.Night Shyamalan movies and I can’t wait to see this
