Today Sci Fi fans were treated to the first on set photos of Denis Villeneuve’s new adaption of the 1965 Sci Fi epic DUNE

A landmark saga about two rival families battling for control of an inhospitable desert planet and the rare and valuable substance it contains, Dune has long been considered too complicated to successfully adapt. Indeed a 1984 film by the great David Lynch and a 2000 ScyFy network miniseries are both considered to have missed the mark.

But with visionary film maker Denis Villeneuve writing, producing and directing the new 2020 adaption fans finally have some hope. Coming off the back of two of the greatest sci fi films of the decade, (2016’s Arrival and 2017’s Blade Runner 2049) if there’s anyone that can make a success out of the father of all the modern science fiction films and games you love, its him.
