We’re in that awkward period, in between award season and summer blockbusters, but March 2026 still has some really good stuff to see

Hey film fans, Dani here with the Most Wanted movies March 2026 edition. This is my rapid-fire round-up of every new release I think is worth checking out this month, so you don’t have to do any research yourself.
Let’s dive in
Hoppers
Hoppers is a new Disney/Pixar movie that’s out in cinemas on the 6th of March. Ten-year-old Mabel is an animal enthusiast
and always wishes she could speak to the local wildlife. She manages to infiltrate an experiment
being run at her local university, where she can transport her consciousness into a robotic beaver. Join their colony and find out what all the animals are really saying.
Rather than just catching up on gossip, she soon becomes a reluctant revolutionary leader as she inspires all the local wildlife to rise up against the humans that are destroying their habitats. The story might seem familiar. It’s not dissimilar to Avatar, although I imagine there’ll be a lot less gunfire in this one. But it looks really cute, and early reviews have been coming in fantastic.
I know many may not have been super impressed with Pixar’s latest run of movies. They’ve maybe moved away from their
heyday of the 90s and early 2000’s, but I, for one, am just so excited to see them making original content again. I don’t want to watch eight Toy Story movies and 15 Incredibles movies. I want to see new films about weird kids doing weird stuff!

How to Make a Killing
Next up, out on the 11th of March in cinemas is How to Make a Killing. This stars Glen Powell and Margaret
Qualley, who are rapidly becoming two of the biggest A-list faces of all time, and it’s an A24 movie
that, for once, looks fun rather than deeply. traumatising
Glenn plays the distant cousin of a billionaire family dynasty who’s been left with nothing after the family fell out with his mom
and kicked them out. He rapidly realises that if he just kills seven of his relatives, he stands to inherit a lot of money. So goes around the world on a mission to do just that, hoping he can avoid suspicion with the law.
It looks a lot more fun than it sounds, and the vibe is very much. Succession meets the talented Mr Ripley. I’ve not read anything about reactions to this. But it does look fun. And it’s something I’m willing to take a punt on.m (Trailer here)
Project Hail Mary
Finally out in cinemas on the 20th of March, is one of my most anticipated movies of the year. This is Project Hail Mary,
a big-budget sci-fi blockbuster adapted from one of the bestselling sci-fi books of recent years. It stars Ryan Gosling,
who is just an ordinary guy. I mean, he’s a scientist, but he’s no ordinary guy. He’s not a superhero or astronaut
or anything.
As is always happening in sci-fi movies these days. The Earth is dying, the sun is dying, and we need to find a new planet or a new method to escape our fate. Average Joe Ryan Gosling sets out on a space mission to try to find a way to save the Earth.
He is completely by himself, completely out of his depth, and completely making it up as he goes along. Along the way,
He might just encounter alien life, although whether it’s friendly or not remains to be seen.
And this has been made by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who have serious directing chops and serious comedy chops as well.
So they made the Spider-Verse movies. So we’re really hoping that their vision for design and light sci-fi effects can transfer
into real-world moviemaking. And they also made the jump Street movies, which are hilarious, so I’m hopeful they can capture
the comedy beats of this movie as well. It’s getting great reviews already, and I am super excited for this one.
